31st August 2024 marks five years since I returned to Malaysia in 2019 after completing my PhD studies, and one year since establishing my main practice in Kota Damansara.

As I reflect on this journey, my heart is filled with deep gratitude for the incredible people who have stood by me, offering their unwavering support and trust in my pursuit of a career as a cardiology consultant.

Over the past five years, we have pioneered several cardiac surgeries, including the repair of patent ductus arteriosus, removal of heartworms, mitral valve clamp implantation, as well as diagnosis of cardiac diseases using Holter monitoring and trans-esophageal echocardiography.

Without them, I would never have received recognition from the Malaysian College of Veterinary Specialists as a small animal cardiologist. Shinzō would never have come to “life”.

I am truly blessed to have you all by my side. With this, I am determined to continue improving my skills and the standards of veterinary cardiology in Malaysia.
